Wow means “win” them over. As much as this article sounds instructional, it is also the way we do business here in Boston at A D Construction LLC. Have fun reading on and wow your clients our way!
Despite the fact your work matters, how you present yourself as a general contractor and your business is a big part of not just winning one job but pleasing your customers. This way, they consider you the best general contractor. Referrals are important: happy customers will refer you to others.
1. Responsive
Respond and communicate quickly and provide good service. My customers can reach out at any time through various mediums such as email, text, phone call, Facebook Messenger, or even talk to us directly from our website chat.
2. Honesty
Honesty is one of the first things they look for. Clients have fears about their home and where their money is going. It is my job as a general contractor to relieve these fears with honesty. I am respectful and I don’t fib about how the problem can be fixed or the cost of the project. I provide the most accurate estimate possible.
3. Quality of Work
Make recommendations and explain the pros and cons on everything. Besides, it’s a nice way of letting your clients know about your expertise.
Make sure you deliver what you promise. This is very important work with pride and making it picture perfect. It will show. I use my projects for my portfolio, website, magazines, awards, etc. I am proud of all of them.
4. Know-How
I am a professional general contractor who has knowledge in many specialized subjects. I am not afraid to share this information with potential clients who might be interested about their home remodeling. Giving advice or even different solutions to fix a problem not only helps my clients, but it increases their trust in me as a general contractor who knows what they are talking about. Work efficient and work clean.
5. Price
Cost is a factor when it comes to who customers will hire for their project. Much like building that trust, you’ll want to be fair and honest with your price. If they have any questions, kindly explain so they have a better understanding. It will be helpful in the long run and even increase your chances of getting hired again based on your fair cost.
6. Friendliness
Clients are looking for someone not only who they trust, but who they feel comfortable enough letting into their home. I make sure I am as friendly as possible. I ask more questions about the issue to get a better sense of what’s going on and how I can best help them. I listen to their needs and envision their project. This comes with experience. Be open minded. A little bit of friendliness goes a long way!
The best wow besides a good result is also to give your clients a gift. At the end of each project, in order to show my appreciation, I send them a gift with a card that has the picture of the crew that worked in their home and a discounted offer for their next project.
This not only gets me more work, but it reveals my appreciation!
Follow these steps, and you will remember me. To them you will be the BEST general contractor!
